BOTOX® for Synkinesis Before and After Case 28

Smile and lower lip restoration in a patient with synkinesis with a combination of selective neurectomies and myectomy of the lower lip, performed by Dr. Shai Rozen in Dallas, Texas. Patient presented 3 years after an event of facial paralysis which was diagnosed as Bell's Palsy and evolved from flaccid facial paralysis to synkinesis. He had difficulty with speech, eating, drooling, smiling, biting of the lips, and facial asymmetry. 5 months after selective neurectomies and selective myectomies he had enhanced facial symmetry and smile, improved eating, speech, no further lip biting.
